problem with cassete player

i have a kenwood stereo system. it has a cassette player but it doesn't play... Everytime i try to put in the cassette cd IN it wont accept it and it does this clicking sound...
ne1 know what the [] is the problem?

you mean a CD/tape asapter? I know what you mean. had the same problem with my stereos.. it's a problem with the tape adapter. be brave and trust me on this it works like a dream when it's done.
you can do this 1 of 2 ways...
#1. take a sharp hobby knife and cut all the teeth off the drive gears, this way you don't have to cut the entire case open.
#2. take a knife and cut along the seam of the tape adapter, and remove the gears, but leave the drive teeth in the cassete, the gears just drive a small cleaning head that does'nt do anything, because the main read head is occupied by the send magnet on the adapter.
most likely the gears inside the adapter binded on something but they are useless anyways. Just put it back together and super glue it or tape it closed. and your problem is solved.

maybe it just needs cleaned. They sell those cleaner tapes you just stick in your deck.

it's called, back when we was po' we did'nt have no mercedes benz, just had me a beat ol' ford..... just do like I said, and that thing will work like a dream. you don't need to clean it, because these guys probably never used a tape adapter..
