More reliable - oh hell yes ... this girl at my high school had a 93 twin turbo rx7 and it was in the shop more than it was out of it ... and she keeps trying to tell us it was so much better than her other car ... but a fuckin pinto is better than the camaro v6 she had so :thefinger

RX7s aren't that great. The Turbo ones have reliability issues real bad. If you notice the new RX8 Renesis Rotary engine isn't turbo because now Mazda realizes they can make a reliable rotary, but not a reliable turbo rotary, too much heat and stress on that engine.

RX7s handle well, they can be made to be very powerful but at what cost, it will break down after every run probably.

If I was building a high powered Japanese sports car I'd do Supra way before RX7. Supra uses forged internals capable of 500hp. Its a great engine.

yes i know supras are badass, rx-7 can have reliablilty problems if not done right. that is what the problem is, sooo many people just put together a rotary and don't do it right. but if you start having too many problems just swap it out for a built 350:bigthumb: :bigthumb: :bigthumb:

haha this guy i went to high school with tried puttin a 350 in a second gen rx7 and never got it out of his driveway ... ended up selling it and all the parts to some other guy ... and i think it still doesnt run

not saying it wont work ... just that people in napa generally dont know shit about cars.

To get back to the original topic that happened at Atlanta Dragway they were having a thing called Tuners Gone Wild. I actually almost went just to dyno my car :eek:. I am soooo glad i didn't but I do know that guy he races almost ever friday night, I think that car runs high 13's, but damn I can't believe that shit happened:bloated: :bloated:

I didn't say it looks like a ford probe as a bad thing...it just does. The Ford Probe is essentially the rip copy...it even has a Mazda engine in it. Hence, Toyota and Lexus, Honda and Acura...Geo and...Geo and...Geo and something.

That car is sweet man but i still like the older model RX-7's better. I love honda/acura but if i was given the choice of an RX-7 over my car i think i would probably take it. Even if it does have problems.
