Has anybody seen this chips on ebay. From what i can vaguely make out from the description, it says that it tells your computer that its bringing in more air than it actually is, wich would allow more gas to come in. I think it said some crazy thing like 25% horsepower increase. Too good to be true?

Chips are a good way to increase HP. Bascially it resets your engine to extract optimum power from Premium octane gas. Remaps the fuel injection and spark timing, and often resets the rev limiter and raises the speed governor. Typical gains are more like 5-10 hp, not 25.
I might be a little wary about getting a radnom chip off Ebay, unless its a name brand. Wouldn't want my engine to crap out just cause i put in some cheapy chip. Good chips can be had for ~$200.

Yeah, def be wary of those EBAY chips. I think most of those cheaper ones act like *shutters* Venom control modules and whatnot. By remapping fuel injection, more gas is shot into the cylinder and can produce a bigger bang, but from my observations, running too rich a mixture isn't a good thing for your engine. If you're gonna bring in more fuel, you need to also take in more air, as well as aprobably providing a bigger spark- so now you'll need to upgrade the ignition wiring, and install an aftermarket intake for more air induction. One of the major downsides to this, though, is that the chances of your cat bugging out on you are increased, since it is now handling more waste. So you'll probably need to replace or install a high flow unit. However, this could possibly lead to difficulty passing emission tests down the road, etc. etc. If you are really into performance chipping, either look into more reputable/proven ones from companies like Mugen and (I believe) AEM. Or, arrange to have your chip sent off to JET for reprogramming, I've heard good things about their work. I've also heard, though, that you won't get much more out of the chip if your engine is still mostly stock (supposedly Honda chips come tuned pretty tight from the factory). If you're running a full I/H/E, and/or even turbo, THEN the reprogramming can really benefit. Otherwise, you're pretty much paying to have your limiter/governer disabled, and little else.

Good chips work and add some HP, but i just wouldn't trust the ones on ebay. Good ones are anywhere from $100-$300 and ebay has em for like $5-$10. That should send a warning. But like buymeabmw3m said, its not gonna give you 25 HP...10 @ most.

Alright, thanks a lot for the help. Sending my computer to that jet company sounds like a good idea, except it's like $800. I'm actually thinking about getting a chip now, because im gettin intake and ingnition wires anyways. Thanks.

bro getting a chip should be the last thing u should wanna do to your car performance wise, what company like jet does is when u send ur chip in they have u send a a list of mods u have on ur car, they tehn send u the chip back with a program to best optimize ur fuel an air mixture accordging to ur mods, so if u do it now tehn add more parts ur not getting the most outta ur new parts
