Hey all.. I am about to pick up my nice red 2000 Accord Type R next Wednesday.. I have a few questions though.
Do all accords have Xenon headlights as standard? I've seen it talked about a few places, but forgot to look at mine. My old car had them, so it'd be a nice bonus.
I also read that the Type R has Bose stereo.. again is this standard, or just on the newer models?
Finally, the alloys aren't too bad, but I might be tempted to change them for a new set.. what is the best size for a non lowered Type R?
Sorry for all the questions up front - but 'hello' to everyone as well!!
Martin.

Welcome to AF
Xenon filled bulbs & real Xenon like BMW's is 2 completely different things. The replacement bulbs are junk & cost under $50.00 for a set, where real Xenon will run $700 & more. No Accords comes with Xenon's that I know of.
www.tirerack.com or www.whalentire.com for wheel & tire fitment issues. I would go no larger than 17's.

I go with 18's if your not gonna lower it. they'll fill up the wheelwell nicely, and they are a little bit more noticable also.

just curious, but how did you get an Accord Type R? Cause last time I checked, they were never sold here in America. I could be wrong or you could live in another country. just was curious thats all

you guys are lucky there, so what exactly are some of the differences between the type r and the regular accords. I'm pretty sure they come with the h22 right?

I have no idea... don't really know that much about accords (yet).. its a 212 bhp unit.. that does 0-60 in 7.2 and a top speed of 148 mph.. ( I think)

most people on here are from the us so I dont think they will know the details about stereo and lighting etc. we just know we got screwed out of getting a sweet car. if you do get new wheels I will gladly buy your stock ones :bigthumb:

Thats it, I'm moving to Germany before they put a speed limit on the autobahn.
