hey everybody
i was just wandering about something. i have a d15 in my car and was wondering about adjusting the timing on it. i had to replace the engine and after it was put in the timing seems to be a little out of wack. it seems to run a little faster but it's just not getting the same gas mileage that the old engine (even at the end of it's life) was getting, also i'm having a lot of backfire whenever i go to take off or shift from 1st to 2nd. i guess i'm wondering if i have to advance or retard my timing (i don't have to $$$ for a timing light yet)
oh and i was wondering what kind of compression ratio i should run on a B18B1 if i'm going to run about 10-15 lbs of boost. i'm starting a rebuild on one and want to run a decent amount of boost through it
