h22 engine swap questions

i have a 95 integra gsr W/ 160,000 miles and i wanted to swap something in with a little more power so i want to go 92-95 h22 turbo (obd1) no replacement for displacement :icon16: and i was wondering what do i need to swap it in and how hard it is. i found a motor trans. and ecu for $2299 plus shipping is that cheap and i found engine trans. ecu axles stock harness and stock mounts for $2700 plus shipping is that a better deal??? do you guys know a website that has them cheaper??? can i use my stock gsr wiring harness for the h22 or do i need the h22 harness also can i use the stock prelude motor mounts or do i need them from like hasport or use my stock gsr ones also i heard that 90-93 integra axles are interchangable with h22 so you change the one side with h22 parts and it hooks up with the motor and other side is integra. will my 95 axles like that or what do i need. so i was wondering what will i need to do a complete swap in my car if anyone has done this swap all parts listed also with a stock h22 in my teg what will i be looking at times wise quarter mile

The torque is definitely going to be pushing the threshold of of your axles since B20's (CR-V Engines) frequently snap stock axles when swapped into civics/integs. A friend of mine recently put a 92-95 H22(a?) into his CRX and the labor costs broke his bank. It will obviously be easier with an integ since the engine bay is much larger and i believe all the stock wiring harnesses will work but don't be surprised if your costs go above $5000 parts and labor and possibly $6000. for a listing of all the stuff u need u can just look on EBAY for the actual names of the stuff. with the 200hp/163tq engine you will be looking at high 14's low 15's. you might want to look at B20 if you want faster or the 97-01 'lude engine 220/153 sounds nice to me.

wat do u guys think about an engine swap like hotwireing a mustang 5.0 engine into a civic ? i kno its osund a little impossible and very unstable but if i worked out all th glitches wat ya think????:rolleyes:

i would think that if you try it you have too much money on your hands, i don't think it'll even fit, civics come stock with a 1.7liter engine at the largest, youre adding 4 more cylinders and 3.2 liters of displacement.

creative and possible (anything is, they put a viper engine on a damn bike, mind you) but u would need a 4dr civic and use the rear as the engine bay 2drs would not be possible

yeah i figured that out that it wudnt fit under the hood after i got the measure of both engines n then i measured my friends civic 4 dr n i was like o no way plus i need a little room to modify the engine so the back it is but the reason is because of the weight difference n its realative cheapness n stylish looks i mean if its gonna go fast its gotta look nice but the weight difference also worries me little bit if u guys look at the difference it make me feel like im trying to combine a bicycle with a goddamn train the calucations just so it doesnt jump up n hit me n the head r ridiculous n yes i do have a little to much money but thats wat makes it all so fun.......that is if it works :bloated:
