well each has its own strengths.

the ls is a fine car to start with since u are a newbie to the car scene, but so is the prelude. i'd say stick w/ the ls since u have it an jus learn from it. then once u learn from ur mistakes u can go out an get wutever u REALLY want an then build that. good luck w/ everything u do w/ it.

Dude enjoy the car u have...its an Integra which means there is plenty of mods for it if u want to go that route also the Integra is cheaper than the prelude so even if u wanted to sell it u wouldnt get enough to buy the same year lude u would have to get like a 93 which most likely will have a lot of miles on it.

If this is your first car its a great car to start with trust me....my first was my moms 93 Pontiac Grand Am 4dr ....O yeah I was pimpin in that thing....:bloated:

Good luck with the car and just have fun with it for now...my two cents

But you can make that LS a "Great" car.

I rode my bike to school:frown: *pouts*

j/k I lived 5 minutes walking distance away from my school and I still drove sometimes just to be "cool" It was really nothing but a waste of gas.

Now I'm in college and live almost 3 miles off campus. I wish I could walk to school.:frown:

Good luck with the car though. Integras a great base to start from for mods:bigthumb: Well, I guess having money in your pocket would be a better base to start from.

I take it you still live with your parents. No offence, I do too. But just work your ass off for like half a year and slap a turbo on it. Nuf said.

he's right the LS is perfect for a Turbo....it craves it...it loves it .....it needs it....

WOW I'm dilirious I need more sleep....I think I'm gonna take a nap at my desk today at work....lol

But seriously the low compression ratio of the LS motor makes it a perfect candidate for a turbo...its better suited for it than a GSR

Integra, I've driven both and respect both cars. I was in your situation last Dec(Teg vs Lude) when I bough't my teg and I don't regret buying my integra at all I'ts an excellent car. so again TEG

5 minutes walking distance is like half a mile, so with an accord (roughly 30mpg??) you'd run through 1 gallon of gas every 6 weeks? (.5 miles each way = 1 mile. 5 days in the week x 6 weeks = 30 miles = 1 gallon gas)

I wish I could walk a half mile in 5 minutes. From my experiences in middle school walking a lil over a mile one way every day for 3 years, it takes me about 30 minutes to walk a mile. So actually my school was really like 1/3 or 1/4 mile from my house. making me even more ridiculous of a human being.

I think the math on your part is about right, but me driving to school only opened the floodgates for ridiculous trips at lunchtime etc. Cuz every time I would hear a suggestion of somewhere to go, I would think "well the car is right there" So add 4-7 miles at lunch every day and a nearly 1 mile round trip becomes a 5-8 mile day. Then there was work after school every day which was far enough away to warrant driving.

Moral of the story: I turned my sip of gas each day into a very small gulp:rolleyes: Small waste, yes, but a waste nonetheless. All for the sake of "cool":loser: Plus I had to drive by the front of the school at the end of every day so all the girls I wanted to talk to could see that I was a man wit transportation!!!:bigthumb:

I had the same problem. I have a choice between an 01 integra ls or and 98 lude. The teg had 36K miles and the lude had 69K miles. Figured that it would be better to get the ls cause of the miles and year. More common than the lude also.

Why do you want more common:confused:

Easier to find parts if you were to kill your engine or if someone broke into your car and you needed stock parts.

Hell yeah the LS motor is perfect for a turbo, all you need is some money to slap some forged pistons on, the low compression means more boost, which means more ponies, if my Integra LS wasn't is such crappy shape I'd slap a turbo on it, but that'll just have to wait. :-D

guys...its not only the fact that the ls has a some-what low compression ratio that makes it great for turbo.

its gearing is also a major factor in it. if u've ever driven, or ridden in one, they have LONG gears...which...is good for turbo :bigthumb:

true the LS has long gears, or aleast I know mine does.
