What should i get?

I am trying to get an RSX-S and after I get it I want to mod it a bit. I'm not going to race it (except at redlights and whatnot... but not on a track or anything), and there's really no huge racing scene here. In addition I don't have alot of money to put into it... I was looking at turbo/twin-turbo/hytech kit, but I don't have 4k/5k?/10-20k to spend on this. I have more like 2k max to spend, and that includes some cosmetic additions that i want to add, rims/tint/system upgrade (no huge wings or anything though.. i hate those damn things). So my question is.. what do you think i should put under the hood for my situation (I was thinking maybe i/h/e).. let me know what you think?

intake get the aem V2...just came out...it's badazz...it's bout 260 shipped..then get the HKS Hiper Exhaust like mine....450 shipped...then with the left over money get the comtech racing header 4-2-1.....it's bout 1000 dollars but then again it gives you 30 horse's at the wheel...then if u can salvage another couple dollars get the hondata ecu flash...600. That will make a huge difference...vtech is from 5200 no longer 5800 and the redline is now 8600 not 8100. if u have any questions just let me know...you can also get the jackson racing header it's only 600 instead of comtech to save a lil money but u will lose a lil bit of performance...with all of the mods listed you looked at 50-70 more horses at the wheel.

Yeah.. I looked at the V2.. but the problem is that the only one i've seen for a type S is the V2 short ram intake (or atleast that's what it says).. aren't cai's much better? Do you know where i can find a V2 cai for type S?

there is not short ram or CAI v2...it's the only one they make...produces 2 more horses than the cai and 3 more feet lbs torque than the short ram. So it's the best of both worlds...it's one of my next upgrades

ok.. a couple of questions then..
1) how many horses will each of those add.. you said ~30 for the header... what about the v2, hks, and hondata?
2) what order should i get these things in.. like.. which is more important?
3) just a general question about driving an rsxs... my current car is a 1990 integra rs, and i like how it feels when i drive it (low to the ground and everything).. i drove my friends 97 eclipse gsx today, and it felt too high off of the ground (because of the hood i would assume).. is this going to be a problem i may encounter with the type s?

ok the comtech is suppose to be 30 whp and the hondata is suppose to be about 15-20 and it changes ur vtec and ur redline and remaps full, the exhuast they say bout 10whp if not more with the header combo, and the v2 is suppose to be like 23 if im not mistaken. The rsx drives awesome i love it and vtec is oh so loud on it...it's amazing...i just put my rear sway and rear tie on the other day and boy does it make a difference. and my short shifter is great too. If u have any other questions let me know...btw where are u from?

oh yeah bout he order thing...i would get the intake then the exhaust the hondata then header..but u can switch the last two if u want...but i would do I/E first

i have an rsx and here is the deal. first of all the comptech race header gives you NOWHERE NEAR 30 extra hp, the actual numbers are about 10-12 hp. get the aem or injen cai, the v2 is overpriced and doesn't give you consistent hp gains as it is not a cai and is still in the engine bay. as for hondata, this is a must, however i would wait until after i/h/e to get the hondata. when you get the hondata, you should also get the new head and head gasket package to get the full potential of the hondata. oh and make sure u get the hondata reflash program 4, this is the one that changes you vtec points to 5200-8600. u guys please don't give advice if you don't really know what your talking about. for a much better forum on rsx's go to forums.clubrsx.com
