Hey all ok .. well like my username I got a 94 r33 gts25t
from zero to like 50 or 60 it is really slow... as in low torque ... not like 3 or a 4 litre cars... they have reall heaps of torque I thought since its 2.5 litre and all my car would have heaps of power as in from 0 to 100
but unless i reach like 3500 rpm my cars seems to move like a 1.5 or a 1.8 ... its fine at 100+
and also I have this real problem at my brakes they seem to squeek heaps when i step on the brakes lightly I went to the mechanics and they said the cheapest way to TRY fixing it is taking a thin layer off the brake disc which made a difference (as in not squeeking EVERY time I stepped on the brake) but it still squeeks when i step on the brakes lightly is there any solution you guys know of or similar happenings to your car? and please help me with the slow starting of my car thx all

I some how think that your VTC solonide might not be connected....
If you look at the engine with bonnet open. Its on the left hand side of the engine, its a brass Hex coming out of the engine behind the cam belt cover. There should be a 2 wire electrical plug connected to it. Unplug it and drive the car. If the car feels the same then it means your VTC is not working. If the car feels like it has even less power then plug it back in, and now know that VTC is not your problem.
Cheers

Regarding the noisey brakes - mine did the same, as well as another person I know with a R33 series 1.
I think the factory pads might be quite hard, I got the $hits with it and changed to a different pad and had the disc machined.
Now they are super quiet.

I also had a problem with noisy brakes, and i went and got them all machined and new pads. Now they are good.
As far as pads go I shopped around a bit and found that Bendix Ultimate pads were one of the best value for money around. The front pads cost me $110 which is alot cheaper than any of the EBC *stuff pads and still have a rating of 500 Deg+.
I also found that the bendix part no for these are 1170 for front and I think it's 1220 for the rear which may save you alot of stuffing around.
Jeff.

Thx all for your replies and ... yes .. .for my brakes i have had my brake discs machined about a month ago and changed to new brake pads it seemed to be fine for like ... around 2 to 3 weeks then started to squeek real badly again ... it only seems to squeek when i step on the brakes lightly ... hmm ... do you think I should have the discs machined again and change my brake pads to the ones you have suggested for me ?
thx

Hmmmm. I think the standard pads are semi metalic (but that's just a guess).
What type fo pads are in it now???
If all else fails, I think you can buy anti squeel stuff from automotive places. I'm not sure if it's any good, but as a last resort it might be worth a try.
I know how frustrating noisey brakes are, sounds like metal on metal, and everyone looks when they hear you.

Yepp, that's the noise, metal on metal sort of noise.
When I had the standard pads in, and when they got noisey I'd take it up to about 100km/h and slam on the breaks, do this two or three times and it gets rid of the noise for a week or two !!!!
It might be brake dust build up or something - not sure.
If they are really anoying you (they were to me) get yourself some Bendix Ultimates, I think you can get them for about $100 or so.
I got EBC greenstuffs in mine, stops REAL good, but at $250 for the front set their a bit expensive.
