Thoughts about Comps

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say that I cannot particapate in many of the comps.
I didn't want anyone to think I am stuck up or something.

I also want to say that I like Slipknots idea of just a plain ol drawing of the month comp. This is why.

It really opens us up to any reference pict. plus any medium can be used. It just seems more exciting.

I think that tieing us down to one single photo is limiting, plus it puts us more in a direct competion as far as for example: 'so and so's car looks a lot better and more reall then so and so's version of the car (same referenc pic).

I have notice that in other threads people ask 'What about imports' or 'How about this pict?' I think if we have a very open type of comp like Slipknots more peops will get involved because now they will do art of the pictures they like and in the medium they prefer.

I just think it levels the playing field and makes it more fun.

Please don't get me wrong anyone here has the right to start any comp. they want, these are just simply my thoughts.
