do you happen to have any big holes in your firewall. not too likely but maybe its rusting from the engine bay or underneath around the ebrake?

Not to be a smart ass, but did you check to make sure you don't have your heat/ac turned on? If your air is off, turn the hot/cold selector to the cool end, and hopefully you'll just feel normal outside air coming in.

hah..yeah my AC is off..i actually dont have AC right now...and its turned to cool...but i did do a auto to manual swap when i swapped the engine so they cut into the firewall there. but i dont think its coming from the area the cut it from...i think that heat would come from the clutch side and not the gas pedal?

Well, that was my best guess, lol. Hope you can figure out what the problem is. I had a similar thing that happened with my first car, an '86 Cutlass. It was as if the heat was always on, even in the summer. The faster i drove, the more powerful the air coming in thru the lower vents was. I didn't care though, since it was my first car, bought it in '96 for $1K, and was only keeping it till i saved up for something nicer and newer. Annoying as hell though to drive in 90 degree heat, windows down, and hot air blowing across your feet the whole time.

re: the heat coming from under the dash:
--I'm gonna say it's either something from your engine mod, your air/cooling/heating system, or some other hole in your firewall.
re: the heat coming up from your shifter/e-brake:
--when you did the conversion...you might not have aheat shield b/t your catalitic converter and the bottom side of your car. This is directly under where your clutch now sits and also your e-brake. This could be causeing "excessive" heat through these two points.
--Normally you will get some heat coming up from this area and this is normal. I've got heat coming up through my e-brake but it's not "excessive" heat...just normal (i guess) driving heat...
Check under your car for that heat shield and check for any holes in your firewall...
p.s.
When your air went out...did you start feeling this heat?
