Not much done to this one but gives you an idea of what the new gti could look like. The rims and front lip are from the old gti. Mostly all the other adjustments were airbrushed. The color was done by making three layers of the car, turning the opacity down on the second layer, and the top layer is in multiply mode. Kind of a titanium grey color.

Hey, Digitech, jus wonderin...where do you get the ides for your chops? Like, I can see that the front lip is from an Evo..and most of the other stuff is airbrushed, but where do you come up with these ideas, and where do you get most of the pics???? Do you just have a huge library of car pics for you to "pic" and choose from. (excuse the cornyness)
Awesome chops man, and I agree, you really are just dishing them out one after another!!!! Thanks for making the forum so interesting!

Good questions. It is really hard to say where I get the ideas for my chops. I can't really say where I get the ideas from, I guess it just comes as I am starring at a picture. I just basically imagine what the car would look like with a nice kit, and draw it based on my ideas. As for the huge library of car pics, yes, I do have enough pics to fill a 40GB harddrive.
This particular chop was not so much my imagination but it is actually based on the current body style GTI 20th aniversary. The front lip, rims, and sideskirt are all from the old GTI. The actuall front bumper was airbrushed.
I guess you can say a lot of my ideas can come from boredem. The past few weeks I have worked a night shift, so I can't really go out much during the day, theres just not enough time. So I read some car magazines and chop some pics. Pretty boring life....
Anyhow thanks for the comments. Does anyone actually like the car? I mean everyone is saying its a good chop, but would you drive it?

That would be awesome if he just bought the car,
but considering VW hasnt even started production yet, that's damned near impossible :bigthumb:
The car is actually a 2004 (or 2005, im not quite sure) Golf, which is to be unveiled at Frankfurt in september.
