I just had a recall about a month ago....
So you don't have the XLS?
Is your Outlander AWD?
I've done a bunch of things....nothing too major yet.

I just got my 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander last month. I have never had a SUV and swore I would never own one. I have always had 4 door sedans such as Honda Civics/Accords and most recently a Saturn SL-2 sedan.
Unlike other SUV's the Outlander gets good mileage becuase of it's 4 cylinder engine while other V-6 and V-8's get 12 mpg or LESS. I do way too much driving to tolerate that and to me the big SUV's look like BOATS anyway!!
My Outlander is sea foam green with the XLS package and AWD. My wife really likes the heated leather seats and I like the sportsmatic transmission choice. My last 4 cars were all stick shift. The CD player and Infinity speakers are really awesome. My two teenage sons love to crank the music up with Audioslave and Linkin Park.
Anybody else out there have any comments about their 2003? Thanks.
