today i took my pressure washer and pressure washed under my car, mainly the wishbone suspension to make it nice and black. also hit my springs to make them look nice. well i sprayed my wall and noticed some of it came off and its showing some factory paint (inside wheel wall).
i was wondering if i can pick up some rubberized undercoating and spray it under there....will it look right or just ugly..
has any one done this?? its kinda nasty looking at a dirty wheel wall..i want mine black but almost natural. help me out step by step...gotta make this car floss =)

Just buy a few cans of undercoating, 3M sells some good stuff, its a very good thing to do to a car after awhile(Power washing then re-undercoating) all you did was blow off some of the loose factory undercoating, just buy a couple can and re undercoat everything under your car:bigthumb: It will ensure rust doesnt start:icesangel

i bought some stuff from dupli color, its flexable rubberized undercoat.
i used it, first it came out brown...i got pissed but then it turned black.
really i coated the plastic that connects from the wheel wall down to the bottom of the car (under the fender) and it really looks sharp now. its not old plastic no more. i tried to get close as i can to the springs, i didnt bother covering anything for today.
tomrrow im going to take off my tires and spray again. this time though im going to rubberize my camber arm thing, and the thing that hooks up to my ball joint and camber thing front and back...hope u know what i am talking about. its a big arm that sticks out. ill try and not spray the joint, but only the main part of it.
right now its pretty dry...but i can still smell the enamel. im kinda afraid to drive it, it might get dirty by the time i put some more.
i want my springs to shine though, make em look like eibachs hehehe. any tips?

there used to be an undercoating car shop in my town. This was because of all the salt they used during the winter. The shop went out of business. They used to coat the whole underbody and what ended up happening is that water would get trapped inside and speed up the rusting process so people started to get pissed. Only coat the areas where you can clearly see that it was coated at the factory. And if you are really obsessed just don't wash your cars undercarage in the fall at all. The light dust, rubber, and tar should be all you need for the winter...if it even snows where you live.

i noticed that my undercoat is a little sticky...its like when u touch it it feels like scotch tape...it wasnt dry like before....maybe i have to top it off with something. but it really looks sharp...now my car just needs a detail again, and really ill be rollin in style...well clean style. hehe.
