hey i was wondering!?!?!?!

what do u personally think is a beter car seriously a mustang or a camaro im in the market 2 buy a new car and i was wondering what the ups and downs are about each car both auto the cars are 1998 camaro z28 or a 1999 mustang gt could u tell me the 0-60 no mods and 1/4 times and your honest opinion which one is better cause i like the look of both of the cars and stuff i've heard that camaro buyers and mustang buyers dun like eachother but i dun car just wont homnest opinions and gas milage thanks answers would be apreciated?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!

From my experience the camaro is faster out the box and respond well to modifications. The LS-1 is a great motor. But the camaros do not seem to hold up as well as the mustangs when they get higher mileage.

Of the two cars that you mentioned, the Z28 will out perform the GT in almost every category. The LS1 is a very strong engine. As for longevity in the life of the engine, it all depends on how well you take care of it. If you do regular maintenance on it, both cars will last as long as you want them to...

about 17mpg in town?I can say this mustang sohc 4.6 (GT engines) have probs with the intake manifolds and the autos have trouble at around 100,000 miles from people I know who own later model stangs. I just notice that fords cars dont rattle as bad when they get old. I think the hatch on the camaro and big doors have a lot to do with it. The camaro is faster out the box. The Z28 should be campared to a COBRA of the same year. Its like comparing a Focus SVT to a Mitsu EVO...no comparison...the mustang sits higher inside more like a economy car. Z28 sit nice low and feel sporty. Its a vette with back seats..well maybe not

what would be the quarter mile time for a 19998 z28 no mods just 205 hp do any of u kno and the 0-60 it would be apreciated cause i made my desition and itz gonna be the camaro i like the look and have ben in both and i like how the camaro's seat are more down it feels sporty and fast thanks!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!

I don't know about an auto 1998 Z, but my 2001 gets 28-30 mpg on the highway, and less than that in traffic.:bigthumb:

Well lets see... An Auto Ls1 should do the the quarter at around 13.5 and an auto 4.6 SOHC should do it at 14.3-5. So the Z is quicker.

The 99+GTs arent slow. You have people running 13.9s with just shifter and 13.6s with exhaust and filter. Thats around LS1 territory, so its not slow at all.

Oh and gas rated mileage is

4.6 SOHC- 18/24

LS1- 18/26

Theyre all good exhaust tones but wont beat the sound of a Mustang :biggrin: :cool:

Partial to the SLP LM exhaust myself, couldn't be happier with it and I've had it for a year and a half :biggrin:
