I have a pair of audiobahn abp15 subs that rated at 1000watts rms and already own an amp that is a pyramid 1000watt 4 ch. amp. It says in the manual that is handles only 65watts rms at 4ohm with each channel. With 250 watt max power. Is it a good idea to use this amp? Please any help would be great.

the amp will push it, but don't expect too much from it. in reality..you're only going to get 80 watts or so due to the nature of pyramid amps. i would say the amp would work with it. don't turn up the gains thinking it will help out the power issue.

like GSteg said, you won't be getting much power out of that amp, it isn't really intended for subs. Your best bet would be to get a more powerful one. How powerful and what brand are all dependant on your budget.

ok what your going to need to do is do a two way bridged setup with that. you currently have 4 chans 250W 2ohm. now 4ohm speekers half it so you have 125 then you do x0.707 and get your rms of 88.375W ok so you can put 88.375W to 4 diffrent 4 ohm speekers. but if you bridge them your going to get a 4ohm line. which should get your 500W x 2. what your doing is just wiring pos to pos on 1L and 2L and neg to neg on 1L and 2L. then do the same thing with 1R and 2R. now run one set of lines to each subwoffer and your done.

wtf are you talking about, he specifically said that the amp puts out 65x4 @ 4ohm
