But the old Gen 1 SHO's are faster. My older brother has a 2000 Maxima SE, while I'm slightly less sucessful, and bought a 1990 Taurus SHO. He was always bragging about how fast his Maxima was, so I was interested in comparing the 2. So, I let him drive. The first thing he said after topping out the 1st gear was "Wow..." It continues to impress him. Later, he told me he was a little jealous because mine was a little faster, and I paid a grand while he paid 18xxx. By the way, they are both manuals, and mine has 133xxx miles, while his has only 62xxx, and neither have been modified in anyway. You probably raced a Gen 2, which are slower.
