Yeah, I'm slow. I know it. I've known. I knew it when I got the car. I'm not afraid to lose, cuz I will. Simple as that. N E ways. I live in a town right NEXT to Austin. Me and my boy are heading to I-35 and I pull up next to this M3.
We pull up to a light give the guy a thumbs up :bigthumb: on his car. Light is green and we weave through the cars. I said I'm not gonna make the M3 think we are tryin to race. Cuz I'ma lose horribly :loser: . So we are about to pull up to a red light and I'm like,"Oh god no! I don't wanna race." My boy is like,"Hey do it anyway just to see." I tell him "Dude, we're about to get bukkaked on M3 Style." Light turns green. I swear by the time I was at 25 he was at 60 :eek7: . He had one too many cars lengths on me. I think I was crying. No wait it started to rain. And guess what. We pull up to another red light :frown: We give him a thumbs up :bigthumb: and he goes right. Thank god! I couldn't stand another raping like that.

No actually it happened in front of me at a light. The car was a 4th gen Primer POS Civic Hatch with nothing more than a Fart Can.

:iagree:

I'll take on any car, just to see it perform. I "raced" a new M3 a few days ago. If you can call that a race. Accord vs M3:rolleyes:

Anyways, I beat him by two car lengths. He didn't want none.

M3 > any Honda
I don't care if you drive a 500hp Civic, I'd still take a stock, sexy M3 over it. It'd be a close run between me getting that or an S2000 if I had the money, but that's about the only one.

I don't get what the big deal about this video is? There are plenty of cars in the world that can beat vipers and plenty of cars that can beat the cars that can beat vipers.

You only have to run low 13's or high 12's to beat a stock Viper. Lots of Civics can do that but can they go 180+mph?

I'd take a Viper over any Civic, I wouldn't care if it was the fastest Civic in the world. Its still just a Civic....

I'm just saying that civics (especially hatches) are capable of a lot more then people give them credit for. In my opinion, the stock engine is just too damn small. 450HP from a turbo h22a isn't all that hard. Yes, the Viper does look better and has more class but it's like a tractor, it's big, and it handles like shit...at least compared to a lot of similar cars.

The car handles phenominally. Just because its a little stiff and has insane throttle response that will break the car loose, people say it doesn't handle great. It just takes a skilled driver to be able to keep a viper in check. Look at its LeMans record, the two years it raced it was undefeated. The C5R's had nothing! In 2001(I think) It became the first GT2 class car to win overall in a LeMans race at Daytona.

Civics have great potential however, the majority of Civic owner(Ricky Racers) give the car a low status.

That's a race car. Do the words tubular chassis and custom racing suspension ring a bell? It's probably also like 1/3 lighter then a stock Viper.

The suspension configuration was basically the same as the road car(not talking about the dampers or springs) and the weight was not too much lighter because no matter what, the Viper is a heavy beast. Besides it was racing other equally potent racers such as 911's and C5R's and beat all of them. I brought up the racing because the Viper is not a well know car, I know they handle and perform great but I can't just prove it by saying it so I threw that in.

Well, I'm not too familiar with LeMans cars but The viper is about 3,300lbs. That's heavy but it's not too heavy. With a tubular frame and all the weight reduction proffessional racing teams do to their cars, I'm sure they get at least 800-1000lbs off that. 2) Even if the car does have the stock suspension setup minus dampers and springs, it's got a proffessional driver behind the wheel. Maybe it'll handle well with a pro driver but the person who gave me the tractor analology actually owns a viper and lives in my neighborhood. He's a pretty good driver and he says he hates the way the Viper handles and that his SVT Cobra handles better. It should be the other way around, since the viper is like $45,000 more.

Bottom line.....viper is an amazing handler.....true it requires a very good driver to control it but in the right hands its a monster.....

in a recent side by side the new srt-10 it was able to outhandle the zo6, the murcielago and a bunch of other exotics.....the only thing that beat it was the mosler
