COMPETE - My best model yet! - Tamiya S2000

I really like how this one came out. Kit is a Tamiya Honda S2000, built box stock with the exception of the intercooler. I used the optional Mugen MF-10 wheels from the kit. Was painted in a Plasti-Kote car spray, clearcoated and polished with Meguiar's cleaner wax. The interior is a mix of black what what seems to be a bluish-grey color. I lost one of the side mirrors, but at least I didn't lose the windshield (;)). Enjoy. :)

Nice
The metallic 'particles' seem to be very big.

Well, that's because it's automotive spray, meant for real cars. It doesn't really look that way in person, unless you look at it very, very closely.

Nice model, I used metallic grey automotive paint for my GT3 and the flakes weren't as big as that. Maybe you need to shakes it up better?

Good work :bigthumb:

I think it's just the paint. I shook it for a long time, and heated the can.

Yes, I did. You can get turbos for almost anything nowadays.

Its not a good idea to turbo an S2K in real life, simply because the stock internals cant support the turbo. The S2K is a hi revving machine, then you add a turbo, and its even more rev happy. But its basically a ticking time bomb.
