Of course, I am just a poor nobody with futures hopes of buying a Lamborghini, and what I am about to say is just a matter of subjective/personal taste, (so don't take it too seriously), but I think the Murcielago is rather boring looking. The Countach and Diablo were Lamborghini’s best exterior design, and I really think the Murcielago is a let down (aesthetically that is) for Lamborghini. The overall shape of the car is too mellow looking for me, and the rear end is just too…umm, feminine looking. I suppose the Murcielago has better aerodynamics then previous Lamborghinis, but an aggressive style can still be maintained with cutting edge aerodynamics (Ferrari Enzo, for example.) What happened? Is this an Audi influence?

It's a great car. Agreed, in pics the interior looks a little bland. The quality of the craftsmanship of the interior will not stand out in a picture. Sit in the driver's seat, which I think is quite comfortable, look at and feel the leather and hand stitching. The quality is top notch and very well down. Perfecto! The silver accents around all of the buttons and the hvac vents look great! As for the body design, why are you looking for a Countach? They stopped making those over ten years ago. They stopped making the Diablo a year and a half ago. Sure, when the Murcielago came out I was very dissappointed because I was expecting to see a Diablo lookalike but what Lamborghini has ended up doing is going in a new direction(not totally new!) and have created something that is very special. Something that is unique and better. A step in the right direction! The car has a lot of class and style and it handles great. I absolutely love the car!

I think what your saying is fair. When I first saw it in mags I had the same reaction.

The first time I drove one my take away wa that this is a car that is light years more refined than the Diablo, but still not a radical looking. Over time my tune has changed I appreciate its basic agressive look. Its a little over the top but without looking too much like a pencil sketch of a jr high school kids dream creation (like an S7 or Zonda).

I realize there are a plenty of jr high school kids on this forum and I didn't mean any disrespect. And no disrespect intended to S7 and Zonda owners.

We look at pics of million dollar cars for hours out here and we become numb to reality. When you see a Murci unexpectedly in person its quite a different experience. I love it.

Here's a reminder...

I know I'm guilty. Seems like we peaked around the time we had the quizes. Maybe things needed a little rest.

So what do we do to get things hummin again. How about a Murcielago photochop contest. We could have two categories (1) "Best new Murci design" and (2) "Most humorous Murci pic".

What do you think? Do you think it would generate some fun?

I too thought and in some aspects, still think the murci lacks in exterior aesthetics. but i have come around to loving the car, but still, i think the back could have been done better, its just not very lambo.

I look at the design of the murci as being a countach update rather than a diablo. I know it sounds strange, but it really gives me that bulky feeling which the diablo did not. I still cannot decide to this day which car(diablo Vt6.0 or Murcielago) i would buy if i had the money.

The diablo design is jsut brialliant, outgoing, sharp, sleak, and suits the cars ability. The murci is similar, but not as outgoing, however the ajustable vents really make up for where it lacks in this area otherwise.

Nice pic tony, ive never seen a murci with wheels which looked that chromed.. is it just this pic or did you actually get custom wheels which look just like the standard ones but chrome?:sly: i sware no other pics i have make them look anywhere near as reflective as that.

Man i've seen a Murcielago next to a Countach in real life...just my opinion...the countach is in the middle ages compared to the murcielago..i considered design and power...and the murcielago is way better...but comparing it to Diablo is another thing. I still like the the murc but the diablo is still a great looking car.

Overall...i'll take the Murcielago.

I'm only dissapointed that i never got to drive one..hell i haven't driven any car over 113 grand...now i'm not saying that i'm rich...cuz the i drove my uncle's SL55 AMG but i can't afford it. But i want to drive a Lambo or a aston or something dammit!!

Hey tony!

Just a quick question about those pics of your car in this thread, is that dew that has formed on the windows and glass surfaces? It almost looks like its formed on the inside of the car, and everytime i see those pics I can't help but wonder what's going on. Thanks

Id be scared if i saw that on my murci, it really does look like its on the insider for some reason.. but it cant be. Unless he loves the car so much he slept in it and his breathing caused condensation:biggrin: but then why would the lights be like that too...

It feels different looking at the Murcielago in person, the car is really amazing. I first saw the Murcielago at an autoshow in Toronto, my jaw just dropped. I stood there for about 30 min or so admiring the car. But to me in some angles, the car isnt very photogenic.

Tony_Ensemble : Hey Tony, I'm just wondering if you know about lowering a Murcielago. I noticed that there is too much gap between the front wheels and the fender. I'm not a big fan of that. But nevertheless, its a really nice car.

i think its dew, the picture looks like it was taken during sunrise.

Tony: i like the idea of photoshop contest, it would be fun :D I probably wouldn't win in the first catagory, but i might have a chance in the second.

So are you finished all your Seattle trips now?
