Excel Saga

This anime is f***ing hilarious and completely mad.

I just got the second DVD today. (i wasn't expecting it even though i preordered it)

anyone else seen it?

I LOVE Excel Saga. It also currently reigns at the top of my list of anime that leaves me in a confused stupor.

I would have to say only AnimeNation's (http://www.animenation.com/) explanation of Excel Saga is accurate enough to be listed. So, without further ado, here is a direct quote from their site:

"What is Excel Saga? Sit back, pop open a cold one, and throw another dog on the grill 'cause Excel will drive your sanity up the wall, then back down the wall again. Then your sanity will run out the window and down the street to the grocery store, where it will get arrested for doing {CENSORED} in the corner. After a lengthy evaluation, your sanity will be carted off to the funny farm ...and then be released on good behavior ...and then sent back down the street and through your door ...only to repeat the cycle over and over again! Sound far-fetched? Just ask the test-audience who screened Excel Saga how crazy it is... Oh wait, you can’t. They’re still locked up in the rubber room. Oh well, you’ll just have to take our word on that one."

I have currently survived the first three DVDs. I shudder at the thought of braving the fourth, and yet I cannot turn away...

Excel Saga has no story basis other than the takeover of the city. Each episode is different and it parodies alot of other anime titles and also the music scene

Yep its a completly hillarious series.
I've seen all episodes and remembered about one...I think its the last one... where a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 5 appears (if you look closer to its back you can read MITSUBIBI) and shoots missiles from the trunk. Pretty funny!

Btw... NSX-R-SSJ20K ...nice bouncy Nissan babe :D
