Ok, I like to research before I act so...

Originally I had planned to build my current engine up... well now plans have changed and the race car you see in my sig is going to be sold. This will free up a good amount of money. I have been looking into this for a while now and I am fully aware that it is going to be a pretty heavy weight project to get a crvtec not only up and running but built to last as well. I personally love nothing more than to work on cars so I am ready to dig in. I am almost positive I am going to start with a B20B engine, but I am not totally decided on the vtec part. What I am looking for is a daily driver with good street power. This will be built as a N/A. If anything it might get a little n2o once in a while but no turbo and it doesnt have to be capable of super high rpm to suit my tastes. Maybe like 7k and below?

Anyone with advice, first hand knowledge, thoughts, comments, good links to check out, ANYTHING... please respond. By the way, I have already read over the boards a good bit looking for info on this so please don't just say use the search thing. I have done that.

Thanks everyone!

CRV motor isnt made for high revs - after 5500rpms your torque will be all downhill from there.

I don't like B20/VTEC but that is IMO. I don't see why u wouldn't just pick up a GSR motor to fit your tastes.......throw it on the bottle, go get a tire and hit the track and except quick times.

low money for good GSR

car will not drag very much, maybe a few times a year at best

I don't personally mind lower RPM if I can get major torque out of it!
