Changing My interior

Hey everyone... Work on the interior conversion has begun! I removed all of my stone beige leather interior and am now working on geting the entire black leather interior in there! I took the dash out last night andeverything seems to be running smoothly. At first I was considering replacing all the pannels with black ones... but turns out that vinyl paint cmes out much much cleaner, and makes it look newer. So now im just waiting on seatbelts to arrive from miller infiniti and for the paint to be made (matched to the oem interior black on all g20's). I also discovered that the Black Dash I had purchased from Foreign Auto Salvage (the place with the wrcked g20) was busted!! fuck what a waste of money and shipping charges. Looks liek im gonna have to get that painted as well.. So far all I've managed to install is the carpetting. I'll keep you guys posted as soon as I receive the seatbelts + paint and i've made for progess. For now all I can do is sit here and wait...
P.S. All your comments and suggestions are very very appreciated!

Looks like your going for the weight saving rallycar look. :D Seriously, I think a black car should have a black interior. I wish car companies would let you chose both colors and not have one based on the other.

did you get the dash out without taking out the front windshield? i was going to vinyl wrap my car before but didnt know how to take out the entire dash.

I spent approx 800 dollars on the entire project... that including the cost of shipping the seats. I dont think thats too bad if I could sell my seats alone for about 1500.
You dont need to take out the windsheild to take out the dash, just the all the pannels associated with the dash.
Today I discovered the seatbelts I thought werent working actually work perfectly. I didnt hesitate for ones second, heres pics ofthe installed back seats:

Nice work man. I am doing the same thing to my car too. I also used the vynil fabric paint too and it came out nice. I'm still working on mine right now. Just need to get the seats, belts and carpet replaced. Hope to see your finished interior soon.

I would have gone for some 2k2 seats. I love the seats in my 2k2 G20 Sport. Just like IS300 seats and a lot of people think they are custom. You also stay planted in your seat unlike leather where you slide around.

ok updates...
Dropped a bunch of pannels and the Dash to get painted, should be ready by tommarow. I got really bored while waiting for the paint to be made, so I decided to do some re-wiring with the headlight setup. Everything is now wired back to stock, and I still have the fuse tapped so my fogs come on whenever I want. I also decided to go back to the amber corner lights. I felt that with them clear, everything looks way tooo clear/ricey. I gues I just felt that with the reflectors gone, the car needed a little more color up front.
Oh yea, to any automotive guru out there... I THINK I FUCKED SOMTHING UP!!
I drove my car the other day (without dash or any instrumentation) , and when it got dark, I turned on the headlights. The second I turn on the headlights, my engine starts reving lower and lower, as ifmy alternator is busted and my batterey is going dead. The second I turn off the lights, everythihng is back to normal. Now that my car is in the garage, it wont even start for shit. Everytime I try it makes a "click click" noise. Someone please help, what have I done?

click click sound means your distributor is still trying to start the engine which is a good thing...try to jump start your car.
btw, dude, should have gotten the PiAA ION H3 fog light bulbs from me..it's $55 for the "pair"

Just about have everything installed now. All I need is black door handles, the vinyl piece that attatches to all the door pannels, and I need to find a steering wheel. Other than that I'd say my interior is just about done. oh yea, Also gotta pick up the passenger + driver side seat belts in black ($250 bucks a pop). oh and how can I forget, I gotta get the moon-roof cover and head liner re-done black.

I really should have gotten the black interior in the first place.
I did spend a gip of money...hopefully I can make it all back with the seats I have for sale.
Are you getting an aftermarket steering wheel? How much would you want for it (not including the airbag)?? The local shop is asking 100 to re-wrap mine, and I had the airbag painted. Whatever you think makes sense I guess i'll go with. Let me know DCastillo@socal.rr.com

$200 Dollars for the seats form thr Wrecking Yard
$25 for the carpeting from the wrecking yard
$50 for all the rear seatbelts from the wrecking yard
$25 for the Center Console + Arm Rest from the wrecking yard
$100 for the Dash from the wrecking yard
$300 shipping
$300 on misc shit I didnt even end up using
$300 to get most of my original pannels painted + Dash
$65 dollars to get paint made to match, tht didnt even end up matching.
Luckily I have my cars fsm so I did all the labor myself. Thats 300 bucks saved right there. Im telling you people, this thing pays for itself.
The dash turned out to be broken cause the stupid fuckers didnt know how to remove it properly, so I had to dye my original.
I got lucky and found a unked G20 thanks to a post on af. For anyone considering doing this conversion, please do me a favor and DONT!! Your better off selling your car and buying one with a black interior.
I still have to redo the headliner ($160), get the trim pieces up there painted (free), get my rear view mirror painted or get an aftermarket one, Re-Wrap the wrinkled vinyl pieces that attatch to the door pannels ($100), get driver + Passenger side seatbelts ($250 a pop from the dealer), and i still need a freaking steering wheel, the dealers asking price is $750). I now have no money, and my shits still not done. Please, beware... dont go through with this conversion, its just not worth it. Although I am satisfied, the fumes from the paint are giving me a headache. Anyone have any tips on getting rid of the smell besides using air fresheners? Hahah Atleast my interior isnt beige anymore.
Now since my dumb ass decided to crash the car a couple of times, the white compound fromt he body shop decided to get itselfall over the car. I have to pull both bumpers as well as some engine detailing to get all the white stuff out. YAY!!

If you store the car in a garage leave the windows and sunroof open. Or you can drive about 80mph with all the windows down and all the smell will be gone in about 10 miles or so. But since the paint is not fully dry yet the fumes will build up agian.
