Why is it so cool for people in todays society to be so openly rude towards the rich?? Its as though bagging out somebody who has money is such a brilliant thing to do. Why do they do it? To cover up jealousy, or what inadequacies or what?? Im sick of it. Im NOT rich but it still shits me. As my Amy says, why should I be treated like an outcast just because I have money? Its crap, she gets shit for owning a few hot cars, she gets shit because her dad had money so of course Amy is assumed to never work for anything, when in reality she works her gorgeous butt off!!! I am fucking sick of tall poppy syndrome, if you dont like that people are on different levels to you in some respects, then grow your ass up there or get over it.

People are being openly rude to the rich? Oh come on, that's not true. A good friend of mine never worked a day of his life because of the money his father left him. And nobody made fun of him for being rich (perhaps for being fat - but not rich)
Of course if being openly rude to the rich involves asking people in fancy cars for grey poupon, then nearly everybody is guilty of that.

"As my Amy says, why should I be treated like an outcast just because I have money?"
to me, she sounds like she is bragging about having money if she is saying that to somone without money. Its like some thin girl telling a fat girl, "god I eat so much but I just cant gain one pound"

Well the fact that she has only ever said that to me and nobody knows she has money until they see the cars she drives or the house she owns I'd say you're on the wrong track. But you stick with it if it makes you happy.
And its not true? I notice it all the time and I dont have money! How can it not be true, shouldnt you say "I dont notice it?"

Ok, This may sound a bit odd, but here goes:
You make a valid point. I believe there ARE people out there who treat the wealthy worse because of their status, but there aren't as many people out there that do that as you might think. Somtimes it is the wealthy who might instigate such an anger in another with comments made that were malicious, and directed towards another who might not be as wealthy(seen in myself). Other times, it can be that the person in question who is of wealth had done nothing to the person whom showed aggression, and the aggressor is this because of envy or jealousy, or what have you. I hope that makes sense.
Short version : Some times it's the rich person who is rude first, and sometimes it's the less-rich person who is just envious/jealous.
Makes sense to me, but that doesn't matter too much.

The rich are an easy target. People are jealous of them and they are few in number. Sure there are some people who have shitloads of cash who haven¡¦t worked a day in their life, but the majority of people who have made millions are hard workers.

I saw many times in the USA, less in France, people very proud of theim and their money showing it at everybody, showing their notes in their wallet, telling the price of their last BMW or Ferrari, or their salary, etc. :shakehead
That's so vulgar and crude.
Being rich is not "easy", you've to know how to be, the "new rich" (as descibe below and called "nouveau riche" here) is often the target of this "exclusion". And that's not so shoking to me. Rich people who know how to behave, are maybe covet sometimes, but quite rarely. And that doesn't mean that you've to drive in an old Honda and to wear bad clothes. Most of the real rich (it's more in the spirit than in the wallet) are much more smart than the "new richs". And they wear Cerruti, Saint Laurent, and Weston as well. They also live in a nice luxus, driving nice (old or not old) cars, living in nice houses or appartements, having paintings of Picasso, Van Gogh, Lam, Raphaël etc. etc. etc.
The new rich is expecting to show at every body that he has become rich, and that's his arrogance which is not liked. The "smart rich" won't be so arrogant and knows that the most important is what people are and not what they own.... even if you can own many nice things for your pleasure ;)
And of course, you'll always see stupid people who have failed in their own life and who will be envious towards all richs. But that's a minority I think.

We usually decide like a week or two before the actual events. As for the Hot4's cruise, nope, I'll be visiting a mate before he goes to Iraq
