IMO the best brand is ACT....about stages it really depends on the aplication and the power you are putting down

I was using a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. I hated it. When I first got it, it grabbed quickly and strong. After a week or two it became spongy and not as reactive. I wouldn't suggest the Centerforce to anyone running near 200WHP. I was thinking of replacing it with an ACT clutch. They seem to be one of the best from what I have found so far.

i say look on act recomandations and go with the lowest level they have that can handle your power....that way it won't be too stiff for daily driving

I had a clutch masters stage 4, that went. And now I have a competition clutch stage 4, it's held up to the abuse of 500whp and is only rated at 380whp.

I have a SPEC Stage 3 six-puck clutch.
Pro's: Cheaper than the rest ($290 shipped); torque capacity higher than all competitors (300+ ft/lbs); 30% over stock pedal pressure (you have room to feather it out); holds like a MO-FO!
Con's: Rough until it gets broken in

You're retarded. I can buy almost 4 of the clutch I have now for the price of one. That's a stupid ass post.

If I went with ACT, I would suggest the ACT XTSS. It has a VERY firm pedal and grips like a mofo.

Normal clutches are solid. Puck style clutches have separated pieces, call pucks.

Do a search like I did. It's easier to retain knowledge when you look it up yourself.

Auto tranny's have no clutch only manual trannys have clutches. And as far as the 6 puck IMO they are too harsh of an engaugement for daily drivers. I would suggest a ACT AI4-XTSS It is the best setup for an daily driver that is going to see alot of hp and some track time:bigthumb:

WRONG. The XTSS pedal is 20x harder than mine. That's a LOT worse than my 6-puck. It also has a lot less pedal travel.

Spec makes clutches for imports!!??
I had no idea. Well in that case, Star SPEC definately gets my vote. Ran 'em before in my cars, and they're definatley quality products:smile:

For my SR20DET, I'm using the Stage I, good for ~300. Especially good for DSM's because it won't accelerate crankwalk.

well i'll be going with a tilton twin disk now, they are still very streetable. I don't think you can get much better than that for our cars, well at least honda's.
