Bryant

I think it's a young girl craving attention, tried to 'get with him' and instead got turned away.....for him it was a lose-lose situation....

Considering how he is cooperating with the police on the matter, I don't think he has much to worry about.

I think it is way too early to speculate about what the outcome might be as the charges have only been recently filed. I remember the DA said that they decided to press charges due to the amount of witnesses they had as well as the physical evidence.

Bryant has admitted to having adultery so the case will be whether it was forced or not, which could be tough to prove either way. I think that if Bryant has good enough lawyers, and I am sure he does, he will come out a victor because good lawyers can always create "reasonable doubt," which in this case can be as simple as 'the girl wants fame and money and that is why she got herself into this mess.'

yeah i was thinking that there must be some serious evidence when the DA decide to press charges.....

but i remembered then that the DA might want name recognition too....many of them want to go for public offices and geting the image as a comunity proptector is good for him too.....

Innocent until proven guilty is how I see it. Especially for this case. I'm not a fan of Kobe(whines too much) but really enjoy to watch him play bball. There's just not enough info for me to think he's guilty right now. But as Jim Rome said today, the best way to not have this happen to you is to not sleep with anyone but your wife. And if you can't do that, then don't get married. The more info released and when I see the girl speaking and Kobe speaking more. I can usually make a judgement by their body language and speech.

The media circus is already in full swing on this one.

Innocent until proven guilty only applies in a court of law. Public opinion (or an individuals) does not have to hold to that standard. Guilty!

What is all this physical evidence. Ive been trying to follow the case somewhat but between working my car, women and drinking beer its hard. I like the guy hes a awsome basketball player but by sleeping with the girl he fucked up big time. I mean when your at that age with that type of life style you have to think alittle bit more before you go bonen highschool girls. For that fact I say his brain as to be nothing but a basketball there cant eb any common sense inside that melon.

When I stated that I hadn't read the addition details since the original press release, I admit it was over-zealous of me to state it.

I still have my doubts about his guilt though.....

I think hes not guilty. Have you heard all that crazy stuff thats come out about her like some one close to her died, she tried out for american idol but didnt make it, something about her boyfriend, she lost her job, and I think she has accused someone before of rape, I also think they said she tied to kill her self. Did anyone see this on the news too.

None of that stuff is relavant except for her supposedly accusing someone of rape before. Not sure of your source on that though. I listen to sports radio all day and have never heard anything of that, so I'm thinking thats false information. It has come out that Bryant bought Vanessa an 8kt $4 million ring as a forgiveness present. She of course accepted it. Besides him cheating on her, I'm willing to bet she's cheated on him a time or two. Even if he is found guilty he'll get off just like O.J.

But it is relavant it gives motive. Things were bad in her life so she thought maybe she could try to get some money and turn things around.

i would agree that her previous state of mind is relevant.....severe depresion can lead to certain acts......she might be crying out for attention perhaps.......

even the fact that she tried out for american idol shows that she likes attention.....for example me even if i had a good voice i would never try out for that kind of show......i might try sending demo tapes or something like that......

all this is speculation obviously but i say things that are related to her personality and behaviour are very relevant........

problem with those cases is that there are two potential victims......kobe if he inocent or her if he is guilty

I still feel that if she was after money she would be making press conferences, and would want every newspaper, tv station, etc to release her name so everyone would know who she was. But I say this stuff is irrelevant b/c if she can't deal with a friends death or a break up, or getting rejected for some silly reality tv show then she needs helpthen B/c thats life, it doesnt always go the way you want it. None of that stuff would hold up in court though.
