I am looking around the internet for superchargers that would work with my '92 grand prix but I can't seem to find anything. I'm wondering if any of you know some good places with the best prices for SC's. My 3.4l is kind of quick but I think it can do better.

Thanks if you help. :bigthumb:

i m not so sure if you will anything but look in there

www.pse.us
www.superchargersonline.com
www.gmusedparts.com

i had a 90 GP STE it was turbo 3.1 that was a sweet car i put 280000 miles on it wanted to give it to my buddy cause i bought myself a GTP but he wants a friken IMport so i drove it to junk what a waste, would of kept it but no room on driveway, it had a stock tranny and engine went through about 8 alternators and couple pumps but other than that never had problems with it bought it brand new demo in 90

maybe you should look for turbo you ll find it for sure at junk they were tuned by bosch and it was just running perfect plus it was a 67 hp boost from 140-207. i also heard that 3.4 engines didnt come out well for GM thats y they have everything 3.8 now but hey do what you can and update me on your progres would like to now what it can do once you throw something in. mine stock was 0-60 7.9s 1/4 mile 16.6 @ 87

Hey thanks, I am already planning on looking around the junkyard for seats for my car, I think i'll also look for turbo grand prix's. :D I'm thinking about getting one from superchargersonline.com, it seems to be not remanufactured and it costs just as much.

I have the 3.4L. Its a bitch, I can see why it wasn't as successful as the 3.8. My mom has had two bonnevilles with the 3.8 and never had engine problems.

kriz_k...too bad you had to send the STE to the scrap yard. They are VERY rare and there are tons of guys on the TGP boards that would've bought it..including me :naughty:

The LQ1 (3.4) wasn't very successful because it's a high RPM DOHC motor. It had too much power for any automatic transmission that GM had at the time. It's not a poorly designed motor. It's actually a great motor...IF it's maintained.

And why do you keep resurrecting these old threads?
