I currently own a 1991 chevy cavalier. I have redone the interier and exterior, so that its on it's way to become a show car, but I'm extremely unhappy with the perfromance the stock Isuzu 3.1 F1 OHC motor currently puts out. I've asked several people on suggestions on what kind of motor to replace it with, but so far to no avail. Most tell me the 1991 doesn't as many engine swap or modification opions as the newer models, but I refuse to believe that. Does anybody have any useful tips or suggestions on a proper engine swap, or even a couple modifications on the original motor?

yeah, swap a 3100 head on to it, do all the bolt on's, and possibly the rsm supercharger, but your gonna pay some money for the s/c, p&p, siffervalve springs, roller rockers, check out www.mantapart.com, they got plenty of stuff for the 3.1l
ohh, and it's not an izuzu engine, the tranny is.

thanks hopeless pimp (love the name)
all the other advice i've recieved on body/interior/engine modifications ended up being dead ends, because most companies manufacter 1995+ components for Cavaliers, and yours turned out to be quite helpful. Well, looks like another auto project will be in works soon (I hope).
