Anything special about painting center tail light piece.

Yea, its about to go to the painter and i need to make sure that i do this right. i'm getting the center section of the tail lights painted. do u just spray over it or what. any prepping needed? thanks

take it off and have the shop bondo it up so it looks like it wasnt there, it looks sweet my friend did it on his 89 4 door

sand it with 400 grit paper, then prime it with high fill primer... then paint it
