Governer. How to diable?

i am assuming that i need to purchase a chip to do this? i am currently making plans and accumualting funds to start racing my truck on the strip. how much and where can i do this?

You must be referring to the rev limiter? If so you need a reprogrammer like Hypertec.

nah man... im not too worried about the rev limiter at this point.
i mean the governer. when i get to 100 mph the fuel injection system
cuts back to idle until i get back down to 90 or 85 mph. how do i diable
this?

I'm a newbie here but am familiar with this issue on the 94-96 b-bodies. You probably need the computer reprogrammed. I think the Hypertec does this, but I'm not sure. One of the experts on the b-bodies is Ed Wright of www.fastchip.com. He should be able to handle what you need.
