I have an automatic 1999 S-10 and recently the gear selector in the dash went out. Just wondering if anyone had some ideas on how to fix it, or if someone could tell me how to remove the dash so I can get back there to see if it's just a loose connection.

Thanks!!

Under your steering wheel there is a piece of plastic trim with some screws holding it in. remove those screws first and pull down the plastic piece. there will be some more screws holding the actual dash piece in place under it. Remove those then carefully pry the dash piece off and then unhook the wire connections and remove the dash surround. You will probably have to tilt your steering wheel all the way down to remove it.
