hi....I just bought gta3 from a friend and The setup file on the cd has a problem....so I' asking if someone could send me the file: setup.exe please...i want to play this game bad....

What error message is it displaying? Also, is the event mutually exclusive? (eg only happend on A particular computer or is it consistent in all other computers?)
I will assume this is a legal version (we won't discuss warez on this board, it is firstly illegal and the penalties for such thing is too high and there is government officials which work to catch such activities), just ask for an exchange, it is perfectly legal to exchange a defect product for a workable one.
But if the setup files run, does it produce an error message?

did the cd work for your friend? did you try in a different drive? does it have scratches on it?

It's not an illegal copy.... and my friend cannot ask for an exchange because he lost everything that came woth the game except the CD.... It doesn't work neither in another drive....yes there a some scratches but every other programs work except the setup...... the error is that when i'm starting the setup....it's trying to uninstal the game.....and it always does it.....so I think the setup has problems

What operating system are u running, and system specs (for the game)?
Maybe look under FAQ of rockstar or email their techsupport for a more comprehensive answer, everything is a bit vague in the last post for me to be of any help.

ok this is funny....but since you are getting an uninstall option could it be that you or somebody alse installed this game at an ealier time on the computer?
