Yep, another Skyline in this forum. :icon16: Colours are Super Black from Gunze, not a layer of clearcoat yet because I am waiting for the carbon fiber decals for the bonnet. Rear spoiler, headlight, mesh, windscreen, front and rear diffuser, rear indicator and brake is not yet installed.

The carbon fiber decal has just arrived today. I've done putting the cf on the bonnet and waiting it to dry completely before applying a clear coat.
DirtyOne, This will not be a flat black Skyline.

Question. Ive pondered this for a year or so. Sometiems when i put decals on a model they stick to the paint good enough where i don't have to clearcoat over them. However, I recenlty put my decals on my skyline and the only ones that stayed on even after clearcoat are the G/T on the front fenders GTRskyline on rear quaters and the VspecIINur on the back under the right tail light. HELP!

454SS, I think that you left the decals in the water longer than you should, that's why the decals don't stick to the body. At least that's the usual problem when the decals don't stick. I use Gunze Sangyo's Mr Mark Softer for these and it works fine. One more thing, don't move the decals around too much after you have place it onto the body. As for the skyline, I don't have any problem with the decals.

Well, thats good to hear that someones came out good. But, mind telling me whats the proper time for them to stay in regular tap water, I've tried the solution before, but it made them rip real easy.

I usually dip the decals in tap water for about 10 seconds and then it will slide off easily (sometimes a bit longer) and when I have put the decals to the desired place, I remove the excess water on the decals. About 20 to 30 seconds after the decals have set, only then I apply the Mark Softener. It works well all the time. For curved parts usually I have to apply the mark softener a bit more but be warned that if you are not careful you might rip the decal. Hope this helps.
