hi how r yall doing i am 18 and have a 1982 cj5 with a 4 cyilinder chevy in it and i have some qoustions for yall if u can help me i would be so thankfull


ok my seats in it r in bad condition and i dont have the money to go and buy brand new seats i wanted to now if i could go to a salvege yard and get some honda bucket seats or somethin like that and put it in my jeep and i dont now if it would work

if yall have some anserws or some suggestionsi would appriceat it

Unless someone changed the engine, Jeep CJ5s were offered with Pontiac four-cylinder engines.

the person who had it be for me built it to how he wanted it and when i got it from the car lot that is what he told me was in it

Well if you figure anything out with the seats and brackets let me know. I just have my seats sitting on 4X4's. Not too comfy riding on those..

About the seatsfor a cj5 i used bucket seatsfrom a Ferio they"re a good fit paid $60.00 for pair

well if youve got a day to spend add 20 bucks to spend you can do it yourself. Pepboys sells leather patch kits for 10 and when youre done with that just spray them with leather/vinyl paint. They may not look perfect but if you take your time you will be very pleased with the results. Remember you gotta take the seats out and spray them in the yard, but if you were gonna put in new you would've taken them out anyhow, so no big deal. good luck. p.s. i do leather repair for a living, its rewarding to do the repairs yourself
