Wendy's is only open till 1am here, we are getting jipped!!! At least Taco Bell is 24 hours.
Second, I'll answer the e-brake handle question. You gotta cut the stock plastic one off. Only the tight puressure of the plastic handle holds it on. No screws, nothing. I have heard it you pull real hard you can get it off too, but I just cut mine off. It's pretty easy, take a small hacksaw through the plastic, then kinda pry it apart a little and pull-slide it off. You then just slide the new handle onto the metal e-brake bar lever, and tighten the alan wrench screws that came with it. Thats how I did it, and that how eberyone I know has done it, it works fine. Heck, thats how the dealership told me to do it ages agol I hope that answered your question, if not, hit me up and I'll try to help more if I can. But you pretty much have to cut the plastic handel off since nothing but the extremely tight fit off it is holding it on there. and don't worry, you will NOT hacksaw through the metal e-brake lever, you'll be fine. Damn, all this Wendy's talk made me hungry.

No problem man. Glad I could help you out. I am suprised that no one on here knew how to take it off or told you, but I am glad I could help. I know how you feel, I couldn't figure it out a lohng-ass time ago when I first did it, and no one told me that the thing needed to be cut off. But after I figured it out, it was pretty easy stuff, like you said. So how does the new handle look on there. Get a matching boot for it and ditcxh the plastic-type oem one. That looks really tight when combined with a slick new handle like you got.

Yah the handle looks tight but your right the rubber oem piece of junk makes it look weird. Imma prolly get that Type R boot with the red stitch to match my shift boot. Im not sure if it will work because I only seen them on the arm rest style e brake. But Ill try. Thanks again.

I have that black Carbon Fiber style weave on my e-brake boot. It matchs ther color and weave on part of my handle. I don't have the "arm rest style" middle part either, my cat started life as a 92 DX, so it came with the plane one with no arm rest, etc. Should be the same type as you have. It looks pretty tight too, the handle and boot, so you'll be very happy with the results once you get it on. If you can, post a pic once you finish it all.

I've seen e-brake boots around. I know that at least a few companies make em (I have one, lol). I can't remember the names off the top of my head, but I'll post it once I find the info. I know that you usually find the products and the product numbers in the various companies big catalogs, o I'll have to search though and see if I can find it again. But look around, they do exist. For some reason, OBX or something keeps popping into my head...doesn't seem right though, I know mines not that. I dunno, you can look though. Sorry I can't be more exact at the current time
