Found this cheaper gloss clear coat at the supermart called Krylon Short CutsŪ Aerosol Paint and was wondering can it be used on plastic car models.

Ya, i must certain it would, i mean you can take finger paint and paint your model car if you wanted too, it would look pretty bad, but its possible.:cwm27: But i wouldnt use it, i dont like krylon paint at all, it always sucks for me. :frown:

Get the better paint, you'll thank yourself later. i could see if you used Tamiya paint and wanted to find a cheaper one, but i wouldn't recommend Krylon. Use Plastikote, Duplicolor, or Tamiya. And if you're that cheap, I would suggest finding a hobby that won't make your budget go into the negative numbers on trips to the hobby shop.

I use Krylon primer, but i dont reccomend Krylon Crystal Clear coat. Only because it requires alot of coats, and it always gets orange peel. Use Dupli-Color Clear Top Coat. that stuff is "teh sheiot":icon16:

:iceslolan LMAO. Krylon Short Cuts are a joke. For about $1 more you can get the same exact paint in a can about 4x as large.

krylon is a very good paint but you have to know how to use and it takes alot of prep work but you can make it work very good
this paint is the best for graffiti ( and any taggers on this board will agree)
as for the clear it will not eat the decals i will try to post a pic of my model related experiences w/ krylon

Fast drying, no drips :)
Not that I would know in relation to graffiti.
