i just bought a 98 3000gt SL, i love it. It's really fun and pretty fast for all stock parts. I am planning on making it pretty fast in the next couple years. Money is kinda short now but i want to do a lil' something something to it to make it as fast as possible with about 500$. I was wondering what i should get to start off, just to have a lil more fun and really whoop some of my friend's asses. Please let me know on what i should get in what brands and prices. Please keep in mind that i'm trying to get as fast as possible with only 500$ to work with. Let me know what you all think.
Thank you,

Those 96 SL models are pretty sharp - nice buy :bigthumb:
$500 huh. Like any car, if you lose weight, you'll run better. If you've got stuff in the trunk - lose it. After that, you can get an open air filter from K&N for around a hundred bucks. If you want to get the best bang for the buck, its NOS and that would suck up a few hundred depending on how big a shot/system you want to set up.
You can get some good answers from people who also own SL models over at www.3si.org

When he says best bang, he means your car. :bigthumb:
