what's this DeSol thing I keep hearing about? a type of civic like DX CX EX SI?

It's basically a 2 seater Civic. Oh and for all you people that say it's not a Civic. :thefinger It is.

Yep, the trim levels are

GiR-L, GiRL-S

AND IT HAS VEE-TECH!!!!!!!!

del sol's are nice, and i think they were the first DOHC VTEC in the states ( not sure ), but they were the first civic w/ a DOHC VTEC. a little bit heavy from all the options they have, like that power window right behind the 2 seats.

the real trim levels are base model S, Si, and the VTEC model

the base model has the d15 in it
the si has the d16z6 in it
and the vtec model has the b16 in it

diego seems to hate on them because hes mad maybe because they are better than his car, some think they are girls cars

i assure you when you see a gsr powered del sol lowered coming up fast in your rear view the last thing it looks is girly, they look quite mean just being lowered IMO

the reason I'm asking is because I saw Del Sol listed in the Car manual along side the other models i have heard about.

All the different trim levels of the Del sol have the exact same engine and hp as the trim levels in Civic's. The DX Civic has the same engine as the S, the Civic EX has the same engine as the Si, The 99-00 Civic Si has the same engine as the Del sol VTEC. What are you talking about?

The only 2 seater Civic that matters is the CRX. I like the del Sol's interior, but the window shape and headlight design kill them. Slap a 99-00 EK front on that bitch, and it might grow some balls.

what are trim levels?:confused:

the real trim levels are base model S, Si, and the VTEC model

the base model has the d15 in it
the si has the d16z6 in it
and the vtec model has the b16 in it

trim levels are what tell you what kind of options are on the cars, whether it be engines, stereos, interior, ect.

the s model is the lowest, and the vtech model is the highest (i think)

I already posted the trim levels, why ask him?

I know that it is the CRX, but yet it isnt. The first 2 gens resemble each other, The (since you want me to be proper) Honda Ballade Sports Civic CR-X del Sol doesnt seem too CRX-ish, besides the interior. Slapping the CR-X badge on the JDM/EDM models doesnt make it a CRX.

I own a '94 VTEC del sol there's definitely nothing girlie about them. they're pretty mean little cars and are basically a civic cut in half. It would be difficult for someone to argue that fact that thry're civics seeing as how on the cover of the owners maual it says "Honda "Civic" Del Sol"
