Ram air...anyone?

Well, I have succombed to the need for more air.
I am hanving a custom air intake fabricated by an acquaintance. The only problem is that the mouth of the scoop has to narrow down to a 2" diameter stainless steel L-joint which then goes directly to the K&N filtercharger. The set up I was trying to use has already been employed by K&N in europe except they used plastic and a much smaller tube underneath the front air dam.
