v8 triton skipping

:confused: I have a 1999 f350 v8 5.4L super duty truck, it skips, took it to the shop many times they said I need to park it in the dry because rain water is running down and getting into elec igintion causing the skip. whats up with this the truck is all factory how is water getting into the elec igintion what else could be wrong.

our truck has the same problem
when its damp out or gets wet it skips all the time until it warms up or dries up. didn't used to, just recently. not exactly sure what the problem is but theres something tkaing in moister thats not suposed to. if you figure it out do post what the problem is, ill do the same.

Well, we finally took it to our mechanic and for some reason his computer couldn't read our ECM unit, so we took it to the dealer since that was still under warranty, that was fine but it turned out there was a bad coil, you know, one of those wierd things on top of the spark plugs. So have em check that out, our truck seems to be fine now.

98 triton misfire,misinjectors, passenger side #2 & #4 plug fouling out? checked fire "good" checked injectors and swiched around "good" changed cam sinser"no help" eng lite on all the time, all plugs still in holes, injector cleaner"no help", Im starting to think its in the cpu? shady_tree
