Anyone from Twin Cities ,MN?

Hey everyone,
I'm admittedly a noobster and I was wondering if anyone was in my area and goes to University Ave on Fridays and Saturdays? That was a strange question I know. But, if anyone knows what I'm talkin about and wants to meet and chat cars on those nights so I don't have to stay in the dark side of the tuner scene that would be cool. Otherwise ignore this stupid thread. Thanks! :bloated:

ah hahah.....Oh yea....Uni and the Mid-Way section in St. Paul. I know what you're talking about... I only live like a bock away from Uni. Most of the Subie guys, well that I know of that are from NASIOC hang at the Firestone parking lot west of Snelling on Uni. I make it out there once every other while.

We just had a Subie meet like a week ago.

Sweet, I thought someone out there would know. Yeah I've seen those guys at the Firestone lot. I actually got my tires mounted there. Do you think it would be alright to go up there in my stock Legacy wagon or would I be a big fool crampin their style? Thanks dude,

Hey Fuji, Do you have a car to race? I have yet to race someon with my car. It would be kinda fun to race with a stock car. :tongue:

No problem at all... Most of the guys are not street racers and will prolly bite you for such acts but, hey some do it once in a while, you know. You're welcomed to hop in the lot, it'll be fun chatting and learning at the same time. Don't be embarrassed.

Oh if only I had a car, but I don't. I'm just an automotive enthusiast. 17 years old only. But I say you should keep racing on the street to a minimum as I don't want to see you hurt. Maybe just a spirited sprint from 0-70mph....but in an area where it's afar from kids, residential, etc...because you don't want to risk it. No one does. Sorry to sound like a father....:bloated:

Thanks for the compliment. I'll poke for a permit when I turn 18 this fall. Then work on my skills before I get the license. I'm looking forward to getting the NEW Legacy Turbos, MY05.

You're welcome. Yeah man that new Legacy is the sweetness. I talked to my buddy at the dealership in White Bear Lake and he said February of 2004! It was scheduled to the public for 2005, but that's not the inside scoop. I am so taking a test drive. :tongue: I have to watch my sister in-law's child on Saturday night :bloated: so I probably won't make it. However, I might make it out there a little late. We'll see. But, Friday I am gonna be there.

I cruised by there around 10:30 with a couple buddies of mine and no one was there. We were on our way to Gastoff's to celebrate one of their birhtdays anyways so I couldn't have really stayed. Did you go back on Sat? Hey have you ever heard of Elko Speedway? I want to know if that's like AutoX or just an oval. See ya.

haha I wish it was better...I was there along with 3 other's that showed up. I think we lefted before you guys turned up because it was slow....I hope this coming weekend will be better.

Yeah well I actually found that thread on Google. I was searching for MN AutoX sites and this thread came up. The words University Avenue just caught my eye so I registered, lol.

Well I have no idea where that place is you said but I'm sure I'll see it when I go next time.

My friend always goes and hangs out with Intentionally Grounded because he has two lowered trucks.. so Im usually up there! We'll all have to meet up.. Know of any BMW guys up there?
