Hello everyone I'm a :newbie: Anyway....
I bought a Mini Cooper and have raced it and it is a bit broken in alot of ways because i drove it in a car park which had lots of tiny stones and you can kinda guess whats gone wrong from that point.
It would be cheaper to buy a new one and keep that one working than rather fix my Mini. I'm gonna get a new one, maybe the Impreza WRC 2003 one, maybe the Porsche 911 GT3 "VIP" Car but who knows.
I need one that is perfect for tuning and racing in competitions. Also one that you drive on the road, not dirt. I'm new to this hobby so can I have some advice please, Thanks

what make and model car is the mini cooper.. it would help if you specify.. and its usually cheaper to fix then to get a new chassis.. (depending on whats broken, you also need to specify the problem):bigthumb:

I asume you're talking about the Tamiya Mini, I have one they are cool.
Just take the Mini apart and see if any gears are broken, replace any part that's broken. Remember that this is your opportunity to do upgrades when replacing broken parts. Go to www.towerhobbies.com they have all the Mini parts at rock bottom prices. Keep the MIni clean, there's nothing worse than dirt or pebbles in the driveline!

I'm talking about the Tamiya Mini Cooper (old one).
There is so much stuff wrong with it which I have tried to put right, which made a bit worse, my dad looked at the instructions and tried to work out how much it would cost to fix all of it. But a Porsche 911 Cup "VIP" Car is only about 20 pouns more expensive than fixing the car, maybe I'll get a Porsche???

If it's only 20 pounds more then it makes sense to just buy a new car

yer, my point exactly, Porsche is better for tuning because if you gave the mini a more powerful motor it would just get hotter quicker

I dont know if its out of your price range, but on tower hobbies look up the traxxas nitro 4-tec. It goes 60 MPH!

it really does not matter what car you buy unless you improve on your driving. This hobby gets expensive and even for a pro driver or long time into this sport like myself gets really expensive. If you really are planning on doing local races at your hobby store and are serious about commiting with the hobby then I suggest either the tamiya tb evo cars, hudy xray, and the tc2 associate. There are other as well but you should rally check your hobby store and see which of those cars they have parts for. You don't want to get a car with parts that are hard to come by.

I have the xray and I love it. But there are other pro cars out there that are just as good.
