My turn for a quick vacation

I'm taking next week off. Just a quick vacation (I've got way to much time accrued). Since our area is a huge vacation destination - we're just going to hand around here and do some fishing. Maybe head out to some of the wineries for some "taste testing"

If nothing else, Charlevoix has its Venetian festival going on next week. They have a truly fantastic fireworks display over the lake on Friday. If there is any luck at all, I’ll be able to get in on one of the fishing contests (oversleeping is the one thing that can stop me).

I’ll be on here next week so I won’t be disappearing like Oz and Moppie are/did :biggrin2: Time to pretend that I am an unemployed college student on summer break. :biggrin:

Almost forgot. For all the people vacationing in around the ocean today. Hope you don't run into this.

Haha hence another reason why I don't like the beach, only saw a shark 2 maybe 3 times and it was only about 6 feet long or so, still enough to give ya a good scare.

This is Charlevoix, MI right? Charlevoix , Que was a considered site for the 2004 WRC calendar (it got rejected though :( ), that would have be neat to see.

Yeah - Charlevoix MI (where I grew up). I haven't visited the town with the same name up in Quebec.
