Would you like better fuel economy? Well, then you are in luck. For free, I will remove your b20z engine, and replace it with a top of the line VTEC-E d16y5 engine.

No longer will you suffer from high fuel prices. With this change-over you can expect to see MPG's in the lower 40's area, and you will have Honda's vaunted VTEC technology!! :sun:

Just a joke.

My civic Hx(slow) comes with a d16y5 super fuel economy engine. Now, I wanted to do a b20z engine swap, but I didn't have the funds. I just wanted to see who would actually reply and what they would say.

Civic HX + B20z + b16a Head + GSR Tranny = civic running the 13's in the quarter mile.

Sure ill do that, then sue you for false advertising. The D series would NEVER push the CRV into 40mpg range :bloated:

first off, the civic engine was meant to push the civic, not a cr-v so the gas milage on the cr-v would be much worse than what it started out with. secondly, the v-tec-e system doesnt work in the same way that they regular v-tec works. what it does is that at a certain RPM, when the v-tec-e kicks in, it partially opens one of the intake valve (i think) and allows the air to swirl, giving it better fuel economy. so telling people that they will have v-tec is true but also not true.
