Sway Bars on a DX

I've got a 99 Civic DX coupe, and I wanted to put ITR sway bars on the front and rear. Does anyone know if I need to swap out the control arms? And if I do, what ones would be the best to use? Also, which end links will work with this? Thanks!

Front YES, rear NO! I have a rear ITR bar on my '00 DX cooue, and it fits perfectly. Just BE SURE you get a Beak's kit (http://www.beaksperformance.com) for it, otherwise you'll have some serious subframe tearout issues. And for the ITR bar on the rear, you MUST use the Si swaybar endlinks, the ITR links won't fit.
To use an ITR front bar the LCAs WILL need to be swapped out for EX or Si LCAs. The rear everything it plug and play (bolt in). Hope that helps you out. :cool:

No prob man. :) Oh, and just some FYI, I'm running the ITR rear swaybar WITHOUT running any front swaybar. ;) Not much understeer unless pushed REAL hard, and I can even get the rear to dance around a little bit at will. If you get a front sway bar, I'd highly reccomend not getting anything bigger than the same year EX front bar.

Sweet. Oversteer good.:biggrin: I'm getting a good deal on both bars, maybe I'll experiment a bit, plenty of big empty parking lots near here.
Road toilets, eh? Never heard that one before, but we have plenty of them here in NY too

But yeah, experiement driving WITH the front bar on, then with it off if you can. Huge parking lots are indeed a way to test it all out for sure. :cool: I never had a front one on my car at anytime, and with the way it handles right now, I have it fairly well balanced it feels, and I couldn't imagine adding one on at this point. Going from the 13mm Si rear bar I used to have to the 22mm ITR bar made SUCH a differance. Just remember to get the Beak's kit. ;)
