D16y7 Non Vtec engine swap?

I found a newer engine today to put in my Civic DX. It's a d16y7 engine I know it doesn't have vtec and that is fine wit me because my d15b2 has over 211K on it and that is alot. Now the d16 is only going for $200 without tranny. It is stock and only has 40K on it which means it is barely broken in. I plan on building it up with the basics and alittle internal work. My question is with the swap, do I only have to swap from Dpfi to Mpfi? Will my dx ecu work with this and will my dx tranny bolt up to it or do I need something else?

you dont 'have' to swap to mpfi...but I would..especially if you're building it up... you'll just have to use your intake mani off your dx..
your tranny will bolt right up...

Definately swap to MPFI. How much more power over my old engine do you think I will have? I'm just going to get the basics to start off with I/H/E. Also I plan to get my muffler shop to build me an full exhaust system with magnaflow cat. What is the best piping size to use for an all motor car?

whoops..I reread your question... your dx ecu will not work, you'll need a si ecu (pm6) plus a injector resistor box and some 88-91 injectors... (you cant use the ones that come with the new engine)...
I'd go with 2.25" piping...
