there is another thread... but it's 6 pages long and over a year old... so, where do you think the most sexy accent comes from?
i've gotta go with South African, how about you?
and if i've somehow done a stupid and there is another more recent one... someone delete this.

That my friend, is a matter of perception, you see to me, their accent is not apparent and so it is not 'sexy'.
When you hear your friend from next door talk, you don't pay any attention to his accent since it is no different to yours(provided this friend is not foreign obviously). Now when I talk you, you would immediately realise I am foreign because my accent is different to yours.
In other words, to me, South African females don't have a 'sexy accent'.
On the other hand, Scottish girls.....wooot!!

The ladies here love my accent.
Well, loved it when I still had it :(
I quite like the Latino and German accent...had two very sexy friends (one who was my gf for a time) and the accent just drove me nuts :D

Got to agree with you on that one (oh my god hell just froze over :iceslolan we actually agreed on something :iceslolan ) But I have to admit an East Scottish accent is much sexier then a west Scottish one. Its much softer and sultry.
I remember been in the bar after work one Friday when one of the girls I worked with came in with some of her friends and one was Scottish. I never actually heard a word she said all night all I could do was listen to the accent. It was the best bit of chatting up I ever did :iceslolan .

I also like a tasteful southern accent.. can be really nice when it's not overdone. But if it's a twangy drawl, step away! :D (Not really.. cute is cute..)

Kiwis sound funny. They've got funny elongated vowels that completely alter the "American English" language into something damn confusing.
Oz talks funny, too. :p JOKING. He sounds like The Croc Hunter, but not on crack.

Yes, American English, where the English language goes to die....painfully....
Ironically, Kiwis speak better English than many Americans I have met, at least they can pronounce their words properly.
Why do Americans like to think they own the English language Tangie?
You speak as if America invented the language when in fact it borrowed it from England.

At least it dies quickly. And we didn't borrow anything, we stole it. We stole most of it anyway, that's why in the old U.K. they have to say "Lift" instead of elevator, and "boot" instead of trunk, and "torch" instead of porch.

every time i go to Ireland (next time i go will be number 10, my mom was born there so hence alot of family), the females go APESHIT over my supposedly "Canadian" accent. i've heard rumours that if you're Canadian and go to England or Ireland, a girl will have you in the sack before you can say Bob's-your-uncle. i have yet to experience this, as i was only 13 the last time i went over, but next time...we shall see!
i'm good at imitating accents. sometimes i introduce myself to people i've never met before in an accent and see how they react to it. chicks go nuts for Irish accents.
on a girl...Irish is hot...some forms of English are hot (not over-done though), and good old Canadian is hot just because it's what i live with! :icon16:

I think most Americans are ignorant and can't formulate a proper sentence should their life depend upon it. I was rather joking and being sarcastic but I neglected to insert a smilie thus denoting my intention. Dang. The whole "Kiwis sound funny" thing is an old joke that only a few people on AF will remember from my last experience regarding the NZ accent.

my favorite accent has to be irish. I love the sing song way of speaking.
and for a fun little piece of triva: The very clean accent from the North east USA(where I'm from) is apparently the closest existing accent to shakespearian english. I thought it was weird too but this was coming from an english teacher from england.
