New Engine

hey im looking to get a new engine for my 89 crx. no mods except for exhaust. im not sure what kind of engine to do. im thinking about an acura or a vtec. i want somethin cheap but something that will add horse! if anyone has any ideas please reply or email me!

You could do a b16 for about 2000 or less-160 hp
You could do a ZC for about 1200 or less if you are cheap-130-137 hp
You could do a sohc vtec out of a 92-95 si/ex -127 hp
You could do a b18a out of a 90-91 teg-130 hp and loads of torque.
There is also the "mini me" head swap.

go ZC if you don't wanna spend alot of money. it's cheap, easy and a real good bang for the buck swap. if you got the money to spend then i would say go b16 vtec. simple as that...it all comes down to how much $$$ you wanna spend and how fast you wanna go!
