I dont have the supra itself yet. (already ordered it) But i decided to work on the turbo's. I havent seen many supras around here with custom turbo's. But, heres what i've started.
I will make all piping when i am able to work with the kit itself so all measurments are right.

Funny thing I noticed.. Could be just me..

FOTW rarely puts out kits, PMan does kits one at a time, and I can still remember their models like FOTW's awesome gunmetal skyline and Pman's "ugly duckling" mercedes that was totally slammed to the ground. But when I try to remember your models, I can't recall any, but the one I'm currently looking at. :bloated:

Maybe because like this thread all his other threads are made and then just thrown away.

He makes like 5 progress threads a week.

And then he doesn't update them and makes another one just to not be updated.

Am I right or wrong?

CamaroSSBoy346
07-17-2003, 10:25 PM
yeah, your right.. None of my models are really ever finished. Only do i call them finished if i run out of crap to put on them. As for the 1988 Mustang GT thread.. well... i wont be done with that kit for a long time (accidently melted it):bloated:

I guess, maybe I'm a hipocrit but I'm working on 2 projects at the same time.

But I'm consistent with them, just 1 hour ago I was sanding and cutting something. Never mind. :bloated:

Well, i put the 3000GT away for now and saving it for a rainy day since my Supra arrived today. So far, i painted it super red II, glued the 2 engine halves topgether and painted them, and the suspension.

Okay, u just "re-molded" some exhaust pipes They look good, and it was a bitch to make. Anyway, its a Buick GN exhaust pipe, i heated it up, and cut it to the size i needed.

Re-think what you said, and realise, that when looking at those pics, saying you did a good job is ...

Funny !

Please, re-do it in a better way , I don't think I like it a lot .

Everything is actually right. Piping wise Well according to this picture everything is right. http://mkiv.com/mkiv_gallery/mkiv_gallery/engine/jun09_58.jpg

The onlything i did incorrectly was i mounted the intercooler pipe that connects to the turbo on the wrong side. (On the pic i just linked, the pipe goes on the inside.

And yeah, it is messy, and ugly kinda. This is my first time working with turbo's. at least its better then stock.

Imagine the result if you had planned ahead and spread the work over a few days...

i did plan it out. The pipe size i was useing was too big, and therefore didnt fit inbetween the manifold and turbo

i like it, the turbos were a damn good try, i havnt had a go at making any yet, the engines arnt my speciality so i leave them be but damn good job. so what if they arnt perfect, you had a go, more than most of us here would do.

keep at it, maybe buy some extra supplys b4 you have another go or something but im sure you learnt things that you didnt know, and as people seem to forget they once were not perfect model gods.
I like the build, the paint is smooth, i just built my supra engine stock because i didnt have the time to turbo it up! wish i had now.

keep building and as many people have said to me before "build for yourself and you will never dissapoint", opinions are only that, words, and who cares what they think,

keep going dude:bigthumb:

The supra looks good, it will be better if you redo to engine work though

With all the progress threads you make, I'm suprised that you haven't started using the [img] tags to post pictures, It is easier because you don't have to keep making new posts for each picture.
