91 civic OEM optional Center console

I've got this in my car, but there's a hole that looks like a radio could fit but there's no back, just a black peice that comes out. anyone know what the fuck goes there or what i could put there? Anything from any other car fit to make a storage compartment or something like that? Any suggestions?
